Stranglehold - PC version

I played the demo version of it on xb360 but sort of forgot about it until I saw it at BB for $29.99 (PC version).
Is the game worth playing?

It's fun, but gets repetitive sometimes.

it's short and as sushicide said it's repetitive. Boss battles are old school, which means you shoot at a regular human but it takes 5,000 bullets to kill them. Game had some really good parts, and the slow mo stuff was really cool at parts. 30 bucks? I'd say wait till it's 15, won't be much longer.

The game was really fun for at least one playthrough. Very insane and if you liked any John Woo action movies I would say get it.

I liked it-its a bit of a system hog and the graphics didnt scale well at higher res. Had to modify the shortcut to get it display 1900x1080.

I couldn't get past the first level, the no reload mindless shooting was pretty boring after 20 minutes

Well I just got mine @ CC for $24 prior to reading your post. Thx for the offer anyway.
I passed the first two levels already and someone was right by saying it's pretty repetitive.

mindless shooting is right on, camera angles sometimes random,, too much colour, but other than that its a regular 3rd person shooter with nice slow mo and destructable levels

Not sure exactly what happened but the sound quits working in this mindless game.
While my other games sound just fine.
Couldn't find help or tech support any where.
Any idea or clue?

if you have vista, realtek drivers seem to really suck, i've had the problem a few times and it comes and goes...try rebooting your computer and playing again...1 out of 5 times it works

i'm playing it on the xbox, it's fun at first, but gets kinda boring after awhile. but running around with 2 pistols jumping around off stuff is pretty hot.

This is one of the few shooters that I said to myself "man, I wish I had a controller." So I bought a controller only to find out it's not compatible. WTF?

Got to maybe the third level then shelved it. The first 15 minutes or so I was giggling the whole time because the john woo bullet time stuff was so over the top, but it wears off.
