Strange Windows Behavior

Win 98 starts up normal, desktop comes up but none of the shortcuts work. Windows key on keyboard dosen't work either. Right clicking the desktop dosen't work. Basically once it gets to the desktop it stops responding. Any ideas? TIA

What was the last thing you did while it was working? Loaded any software, open any emails that did something funny? Figure out what that was , and reverse it if you can.

I installed Winway Resume. I did uninstall it in safe mode and looked for entries in the registry but didn't find any.

All of a sudden, it's working again.
