Strange voltage being reported?

I put my new computer together over the weekend, and haven't had much time to do things on it apart from run things like 3dMark and Prime95 until I find the time to start installing all my stuff again. (Using my old laptop still)

One of the weird things is that Speedfan reported "+12v" as "10.75v". This was a little hard to believe since I'm using the Antec power supply that came with the Sonata. For some reason now it's showing 5.72v instead. So I got out a tester and checked the 12v from one of the molex connectors, and thankfully it was almost exactly 12v. Also it's reporting "3.3v" as "1.60v".

Everything has been stable so far (Prime95 and Memtest each ran overnight no problems), and I don't doubt my psu can handle the things I have hooked up, so I'm not overly worried about it.

Has anyone else had this happen? I'm not too keen on doing a bios flash just for this ("if it ain't broke, don't fix it!") but I'm thinking about it.

Using an Epox 9NDA3J, Athlon64 3000+, 1gb Corsair value, Gigabyte 6800nu.

If your multimeter shows that the voltages are correct, don't worry about it. Maybe for some reason speedfan does not read the values correctly. Check the PC health section in the BIOS to see if it does something similar.

Actually, the BIOS PC Health page doesn't even show a 12v or 3.3v. Maybe the mobo doesn't have an actual sensor for them? Would be weird.

But oh well, I'm pretty sure the psu can handle the stuff fine, so yeah, I won't worry bout it too much.

That would be weird! A BIOS not reporting 12V or 3.3V? But your problem is not uncommon. Often I have people report whacked voltages that when checked with a multi-meter are dead on.
