Strange Temp Drop

I bought a Zalman yesterday but couldn't fit it in my case. Tried selling it but no go, so I wipped open the case and move some stuff around and got it all to fit. I've been using the computer like normal, and my tempterature hasn't hit 100F yet. It seems to be hovering around 90F. Before with my old HSF Combo, it was idling at 110F. I don't think the drop in temperature can be right. I was using this Coolermaster which I thought would be better than stock.

Any ideas, I've read reviews that say the Zalman isn't that great and I'm worried the thing's gonna jum to 130 when I'm not looking...

No, that doesn't sound so wierd. Look at this! It doesn't list the Zalman, but you'll notice that the Coolermaster you had tested scarcely better than the stock AMD cooler.

Hmm, maybe the fan was defective becaus there is no way I would consider it quiet...
