Strange Sound issues XP

Strange Sound issues XP

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok so this is going to sound strange. I am using my machine here at work and all the sudden this comes through my speakers. "Blue Light Special Attention Kmart Shoppers" Now first thing i think is that i have some nice peice of spyware on my machine. I go and run adware and spybot like i do every week. A few min later I get a farting sound.

So i did a virus scan and came up clean. And i am using Updated Deff lists as well. So than i reboot and start again and i get elvis hound dog. Now i do a little google research and they say that Trillian can cause this so i stoped using trillian and i am still getting it. So i am confused anyone out there haveing the same issues. If so please point me in the right direction. Not a fan of having events triggered on my machine when i did not ask for them.

How frequently do the random sounds occur? Can you determine if it still happens even when not connected to the Internet?

Kinda funny in a way, though I'm sure you do not feel the same way. Just a thought - has anyone been messing with your sounds schemes? (Probably not, otherwise you would start hearing the same sounds repeating.)

Years ago, I did this as a joke to a coworker who used a Mac. Just about every action was associated with a sound file, with many being the restaurant orgasm bit from When Harry Met Sally.
