I'm not making wild guesses, I'm just asking questions, even if they seem to be simple, naive or unreasonable. It's surprising that you can't understand the difference and are unable to answer my question in a civilized manner.
I'm sorry if you think my response was uncivilized.
I did give you an approach to the problem: test more different scenarios.

You observed something. Namely varying measured speeds.
You drew conclusions. That something in the network might have changed.
You wondered if anyone could explain or validate your conclusions.

My point was: you haven't done nearly enough measurements to see what is going on. You also don't have enough information to make any conclusions. That was all.

Naturally, everybody has right to own feelings. However, delusional feelings described by you can be disastrous to deal with in longer term. Therefore, I strongly advice you to consult a specialist, before it's too late.

At No point I attacked you in person and made Negative remark against you as a person. Thus the above is just a symble to your behavior rather than mine.

Reaction like the above usually are triggered when some hidden truth surfaces.

P.S. If you want the thread to continue keep it cool and avoid such reactions.

Test to try.
1.Drop in another NIC and see where it goes.
2.Reseat any add in NIC if that is what you are already using.
3.Change the driver, Even to a different model/MFG.

In this context your comment:

is completely unjustified, needless to say not very friendly, and is not proper for QuietDad, sorry.

Your right, and I apologize. To answer your question, which I already have done, there is NOTHING a technician can do while at your house to change your internet connection parameters. NOTHING. Even calling into the support desk as a technician can't get things changed. It's just not done.

JackMDS, I went through all your posts in this thread again and confirm that you've got serious problems, which you're trying to project on other people. All your reactions contain improper elements and absolutely ungrounded and sometimes derogatory opinions. I have no doubt that that sort of attitude makes you unfit for the function of moderator, sorry.

In your place, I would apologize and in quiet rethink what moderation should be about, instead of threatening me with closing this thread.

You asked for help here and people have offered their opinions. You however have turned that around and insulted several of them in the thread. In particular the mod who is trying to help. Calling him delusional is quite simply, unacceptable.

For this reason I have locked your thread as all you want to do is pick a fight with those that disagree with you.

You do not get to call out a moderator by his modship when he is posting as a member.

Read the rules before you post anymore.

There are several pretty easy things to check, but after reading AndrewMac's reply to Elixer's attempt to help, I think he came on here to argue, brag or pick a fight. I think the technician who tried to help did the right thing and left. So should the rest of us. Best of luck.... with friends and life.

I have no doubt that that sort of attitude makes you unwilling or unable to accept the help that you asked for, sorry.

In your place, I would apologize and in quiet rethink what asking for help should be about, instead of accusing everyone else of ignoring your questions (that have been answered) and accusing everyone of being rude when you continue to ask the same questions and continue to ignore the answers again.
(I fixed that for you)

this could be the result of malware, using a vpn network or divert test. first use antivirus on your system before running further tests.
