The computer was in windows, everything ran fine, has been running fine for a few years, and all of a sudden it starts making random beeps, all the time. We could play games on it, and the game would run perfectly, but would keep having these beeps. We decided it could either be: cpu overheating, bad/old cmos battery, or corrupt windows. Since nothing had changed before the beeps(they just started happening), I am thinking since the sudden temperature of the house(and the computer is always on) it is an overheating issue. Anyway, we went to the BIOS, changed a few settings, now it will not boot into windows. It restarts everytime. Reverted bios to default settings, same thing. Now we are repairing windows, froze.

Will keep you guys updated, any help would be appreciated, thanks.

-ok, plugged floppy drive back in(we unplugged it last time) and now it boots into windows... everything seems to be working fine, no beep codes, probably overheating...

Probably overheating. But to make sure so you can go to sleep better in the evening, check the setting in the bios about hi temp alarm. Usually this is set to 70C. If you have it set lower this is the one giving you the alarm. YOu might want to download a free copy of mobo monitor. It displays your cpu and case temp in the taskbar.
