strange Ram problem

I've been running OCZ pc 3200 EL 2-2-3 512mb one stick

I just got OCZ pc3500 EL CL2 512mb stick

this one I am planning on using it on my 2nd rig
but since I dont have 2nd rig up yet I thought I could put this into my 1st rig and have 1g ram until
I get all the parts for the 2nd one.

When i put both together, everything works fine but once windows boot, it says undentified hardwares found and it tells me i need to install Ethernet controller and Sound controller.
I dont have the drivers. so nic card doesn't show up and I can't use internet, sound works though.


however, if I only use either one of rams, the nothing happens on boot and everything works fine.


I thought this was strange...
 
oh ya I'm running WinXP pro so I dont know why it's even asking for drivers
also did driver search but it can't find any
