Strange proces in task manager - virus?

I have a weird problem with my windows XP.

Whenever i start my computer and pop up the windows task manager there is a proces in there that doesnt make sense to me.
The name of the proces is a random number. Every time i start up it is different it seems. It's a proces running local.
When i kill it.. it is gone and everthing seems to run ok. Next time i start up it is there again (with a different number)

Undertaken actions:
- full system scan with latest norton anti virus
- full scan with ad-aware 6.0
- full scan with spybot search&destroy
- thorough check of all the services listed

I still have no clue what this is

Can anyone share some light on this??

1. Be sure you have a good Anti Virus program running and keep it updated with the latest definitions.
2. Install and run Ad-Aware.
3. Install and run Spyware Blaster.

PS Run Adaware approx once a week. Keep both Ad-Aware & Spyware Blaster up to date. They both have updates built in.

find out what is in your start menu that shouldnt be.
go to regedit, hit find, enter the name of that pgm,
delete it from the reg.

A small update on this topic for the peeps interested.

I tried all the suggested actions mentioned in this threat. Unfortunately nothing worked.. i have not been able to find out which program or proces
made this happen.
I therefore decided to do a clean install of XP to get rid of this

and... that worked
