STRANGE PROBLEM

Ok well about a year ago or so my raptor was givi g problems once it was installed the pc lagged games took 30 minutes to load and where 100% unplayable.

So today i finally decide to RMA the drive but id throw it in to format it. now wat do i see THE DRIVE IS WORKING FINE ?

Iveplayed 3 hours of source with the drive as my slave i played halo and the pc is fine.
what really is going on and should i trust the drive with my data

Copy the data off, format the drive using WD's utility, and try reinstalling. If it still lags or runs slow, format it and run WD's tests on it that they require for RMA (if there are any). At the very least you'll end up with a different drive, and at that point you'll know whether or not it's a weak point in your system, or if it really was the drive.

well i ran all thsie stuff and the utility said the drive was good

You may have had a bad ribbon cable or just a dirty connection. Happens all the time.

man i changed ribbons i took 2 cans of air to the connectors ect ect

The probablem you had the first time was probably related to the SATA controller drivers. I had a similar problem with my NF4 board until I installed the latest drivers.

no but u see the drivce worked fine for 3 months or so
