Hey all. I have been having an issue with my wireless network. The issue is twofold. First of all, my network ceases to work whenever I restart my computer (ie: the PCI card cannot "see" the access point). I have found that if I uninstall and reinstall my PCI card it fixes it, but I still wonder why it constantly happens. Every time I reinstall the card, it brings up the same drivers that I am already using, so I install them, and it works. Its cool that it works, but its annoying to have to do that every time I reboot. Also, I haven't been able to fully get rid of the drivers and fully reinstall from the ground up. I feel like maybe if I can start over with new drivers, it might fix the problem (?). Is there any way to completely remove the drivers for this card?
Secondly, I have been using my wireless network with FlashFXP to transfer files to my xbox from my computer. The problem I have is that the connection craps out sometimes (often during large file transfers) for no reason. When it craps out, the file I was loading cannot be deleted or resumed. I don't understand why this happens because it has an "Excellent" connection to the AP, and the connection is never interrupted UNLESS I'm doing a file transfer....WTF!
I am now wondering if its a problem with my AP or with my PCI card (I think its the card for some reason). If anyone can help me with this problem I would greatly appreceiate it.
Thanks,
Mike
UPDATE: After installing SP2, I now get the message "Limited or no connectivity" when it craps out. It says the problems occured because the network did not assign a network address to the computer. I can fix this problem by simply re-scanning for the AP link, however.
