Strange problem w/ Ghost in Win ME

I upgraded to a new IBM 40 gig HDD and used Ghost 5.0 to copy the old 13.5GB to the 40GB. The new HDD works fine and the bios recognizes it as a 40 gig, but Windows ME says its only a 7 gig. I've run Norton systemworks on it and for the life of me, can't figure it out. At one point I thought it said I had two FAT tables. Do I need to re-Ghost it, or what.

Morning bump. Still acting very strange. I may have to re-do Ghost with a clean fdisk of the bigger drive unless one of the resident guru's can help.

I think Ghost 5.0 had a problem with drives over 10 GB. You might want to try a newer version of Ghost.

See if there's any help at IBM HDD technical support. I have a similar problem myself in that WinMe doesn't want to recognise my IBM 60GB HDD correctly (the 5GB C drive is present and that's it!)

I used PQMagic v7 to create the partitions though. I'll be checking out the above link when I get some time.

Regards,

Jonty.

Tech support from Symantic was worthless. All they said was that this version is no longer supported, blah, blah, blah. So, I re-Ghosted it using Ghost from Systemworks 2001 and it worked like a charm. Both Windows and the BIOS see it as a 40GB drive, although the naming of the drive under the CUSL2-C BIOS was a little strange. The motto? Ditch Ghost unless its a newer version.
