wtf

I got this strange pop-up. I thought firefox was immune to this.

I'm not going to install as it's a con program.

companies have found a way around the popup blocker unfortunately, I get popups a lot now. Hopefully they'll fix it.

My dad saw this pop up and actually bought the error guard thing because he wanted to get rid of spyware. I really don't think my family should own a computer.

ROFL! :D Kev, make 'em all Limited users and lock the Admin powers away in a separate account called Maintenance or something. Works for my mom & dad.

Perspective: my dad (a 74-year old) was trying to show my mom how to use Outlook Express to receive email:

Dad: now Minnie, you move the mouse with your hand, so the pointer on the screen is on the envelope icon like that, and--

Mom: WAIT!!!! :Q *pins the mouse to the desktop with left hand and begins to trace outline of its position on the desk using a pencil, yesssss, this is where to put the mouse to check email, I see now*

mechBgon, watching: *ROFL! :D*

haha, my mom won't even go near the thing. just my dad and my little sister who apparently likes to click yes on everything. and i can't do the admin thing because i don't live there and it would just be a giant pain. i did tell him to never buy anything that pops up for him though.
