Strange 'PCI Device' with fresh install win2k on CUSL2

Hi, I have just installed win2k SP2 onto my Asus CUSL2 with only AGP card, memory, HDD, CDROM drive
and FDD. The first time I got into windows after the setup process, I found there are 2 'Other device'
One is of course my AGP card and the second one is a strange PCI Device.
I thought that strange PCI Device is something from the i815 chipset that does not recognise by win2k so I installed its inf update from the CD provided by ASUS. After that I installed the AGP card driver.
Now, everything's installed but the 'PCI Device' still appeared on the device manager.

Does somebody know what is that 'PCI Device' referring to??

Does your mobo have built-in audio or a NIC? How about a modem?

I ran into a similar deal with my IBM Thinkpad T21 (440BX chipset) when I upgraded to Win2K; my unknown PCI device turned out to be a missing IBM Advanced Power Management (APM) driver of some sort. This device is now listed under System Devices.

Install the latest Intell .inf update from Intel's site followed by the Intel chipset drivers. The .inf update allows the OS to properly identify the motherboard chipset components. The I815 uses a different CPU to PCI bridge than older chipsets, it's possible the one supplied on the Asus disk is an older version. Use the 6.20 or later chipset drivers.

To recognise this device, please download and install the Chipset Inf Drivers from Intel, version 3.20.1008.

Thank you all for your reply. I have an onboard video but i think its automatically disabled once I give the board an AGP card.
I'll try to download the chipset inf and see if that correctly recognises the PCI Device.
