I've got a 2 year old system (i7 920, Asus P6T, 2x 4850, 8GB Corsair RAM, 650W PS) and this morning I overclocked the 920 to 3.3Ghz. I went from ~35 FPS in BF3 to ~20 FPS. Anyone had a similar experience?
Wow there is someone else in this world that plays UT3 lolol
All the war games ate up UT3 ,,, plus they deserve the low sales, 300 thousand units only..... idiots didn't bring Gears 3 to PC,, so F ,, epic ,,,, best company is NFS , The Run makers and BF3 and MW3 makers.....
PS is a Coolermaster. I can't see the model, but it's not failed me yet. I set everything back to auto in BIOS and left the voltage at 1.224. The processor throttled back to 2.8Ghz, but I'm still getting low framerates. CPU temp is not too high at 62C.
I did the BF patch when it came out, but it didn't affect anything at the time. Nothing else has changed.
I'm getting ready to part this machine out and build a new 2500k system. Sounds like today is a good day to do it, eh?
