Strange mouse problem - 2 pixel movement

Hi,
When I move the mouse in Windows 2000 Pro SP2, the pointer will move in 2-pixel jumps.

The two mice I've tried are a Logitech Optical Wheel Mouse SE (Mouseware 9.41.2) and a Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical (Intellipoint 4.0). Both are USB - I haven't tried PS/2 connectors yet as they should work with the USB. I'll try and follow up with the results.

Now here's the strangest thing. This doesn't happen when I am logged in as admin. However when I'm logged in as power user it does happen. By habit I use Power user for normal use, which includes a lot of image editing, harder to do when the mouse moves two pixels!

What could cause this?

It seems to be sorted now ... I messed around with settings and when I reduced sensitivity it worked. Even when I put sensitivty back up :S
