Strange Mouse Issue

It's kind of hard to explain, but I'd say 3 out of every 10 times I single left-click my mouse it is interpreted as a double click. It's not a huge issue, but if I'm hitting the X button to close a window and I have a window below it-- and my mouse decides it wants to double-click instead, I end up closing both windows, which could turn into a grave situation.

I don't know what could be causing it as it worked fine for the longest time. It's a Logitech MX510 wireless mouse. Anyone have any ideas?

I had the same problem awhile back but with my mx1000. If I remember correctly I had to reinstall the drivers. It hasn't did it since. But yeah it can be very annoying.

Mice are mechanical devices, and they do wear out. That is one of the first signs. Replace it.

Try repositioning the wireless reciever.
If your mouse button is failing, you can try and replace the microswitch.

I had that start a few days ago w/ my G7. It seemed to start working again, but if it acts up in the future I'll call logitech for warranty support.
