Strange, I have seen more Infinity G35 than RSX, CTS, RX-8 combined!

In the past month or so, I have seen more G35s than all those cars combined. Actually, I haven't seen a lot of RSX to begin with, but I expect to see them more because they are not so expensive. But strangely enough, all I see around (North Houston) are G35s. There is always 1 next to me at the stop light, in the drive through and what not. Strange, it must be getting really popular. Either that, or I keep seeing the same people driving them!

I agree with you. The G35 has become quite popular since it came out only last year (or was it the year before?). I've seen quite a few G35s in several different areas of the country, so it's not isolated to any particular region.

RSX = overpriced. RX8 = nice, but a family sports car. CTS is american, so who cares. And all you have left is the G35!

Two cars I've never seen on the streets: Mazda 3 and Mazda 6. G35's are very popular among the rich kids who go to school here.

I see a ton of 6s. Very few 3s. Absolutely no scions.

The G35 has become one of the best-selling cars in its class. 5,584 total G35s were sold in February. It even (barely) outsold the Lexus ES330, which moved 5,546 units. For comparison purposes, only 2,808 Audi A4s (in fact, only 4,538 Audis total) were sold in the U.S. last month, while 7,669 BMW 3-Series were purchased.

Interesting. How many of those G35's were coupes and how many were sedans? How many of the 3-series were 330's and how many 328's, 325's etc?

most of the g35 sedans i see are driven by 30 and older types. i see a lot of women driving both coupe and sedan.

its true that some of the rich kids in college and evne high school have them. as for the other cars. i've begun to see more rx8s, probably more people trying to differentiate themselves. not really fair to compare a g35 with rx8 since there'd have to be more g35s since they sell it as a sedan too (not to mention the g35 has been out since october 2002 or so). its more comparable to the 350z, and as it is its a very acquired taste, as more rx8's i'd figure are manual since you get a higher HP engine with the manual and the wankel's engine characteristics with the high revs would make it seem like a car ideally driven manual.

mazda is starting to come back though. the 3 doesnt seem as popular yet, but it is quite a bit newer than both g35 or the 6. and well it seems A LOT better than the outgoing protege.

personally i'm gonna break the mold and be a 23 year old driving a g35 sedan one of these days. i have friends who already are, and well its kinda a sleeper, and a lot more practical for young people. i mean we have friends. i dont get why people have such coupe infatuation, its seriously not worth the drawbacks.

i see a lot of auto 325 strippers out there.

its the problem with bmw having 2 cars in their entry level line, and well the badge whoring. the 325 is not a particularly fast car as it is, and with the auto it basically dies. then again i'm in LA and most people drive an auto here.

i'd say just from what i see the average new model 3 series i see is a 325 or 323, proably 75-80%, 15-20 ish ojn the 330/328 and maybe an m3 here and there.

go to a college campus and you'll see tons more rsx's (though civics still outnumber any other type of car). I don't think i've ever seen a CTS or RX-8 on campus (though i've seen a few G35's)..

She was out of the car, standing next to it. I could have taken her!
