Strange Humming/Buzzing coming from my Computer!!`

Recently i noticed my computer making this weird sound so today i opened it up and cleaned it out a little and have the same problem. I thought it sounded like it was coming from my processor on my motherboard. There is a fan on the processor, could this be the problem? Im not sure i was just wondering what u all thought.

Try taking the fan off and then putting it back on. But my guess is that you will need a new fan

Your fan is probably preparing itself to leave to the eternal fields of fans. I've had this problem a couple of times.

Does it make that sound when the power is off? I had a power supply that had a very annyoning buzz when the power was off (so annyoning, and until i replaced it, i was unpluging it at night to be able to sleep).

havnt checked with the power supply off but im almost sure its the fan! damnit i dont want to have to get a new one, this came at a bad time, my money is for dvds and other stupid stuff not fans....i dont care how much they cost its still an inconvenience

do you guys think it would be ok if i left this problem for a bit and replaced the fan in say a month or two or should this be attended to ASAP? also sometimes its fine and then other times (mostly) its makes the noise!

Had similar buzzing problem a couple days ago. I went through the same worries.

Turned out that my front case intake fan had only two screws. I remounted it with four screws and no vibration since. What a relief!

I had noticed the vibration was up front in the hard drive area (sweat) so I checked out the simplest item to replace or fix. Maybe it's just your rear case exhaust fan - if you have one in addition to your power supply fan.
