Strange bootfailure, I need help!

Just bought some new stuff:
Abit KG7
T-bird 1.4
WesDig 40Gb

The problem:
When I shut down WinMe and restart my comp. by pressing the power-on button, I get a bootfailure.
Bios can´t find my HDD! 🙁

But, if I shut down and then cut the power (disconnect the powercable) for 10 sec´s and restart the comp.
Ta-Daaa, it´s back to normal!

It´s not a big problem, but it is quite irritateting!

I´m lost. 😕
Anyone?

Hmmm....
I have tried with another hdd, a Quantum 5gb and it worked.
Then it´s probably my WD that´s busted, or what! :frown:

Anyone?

Well, it's a shot in the dark, but see if there are any bios updates for your board, maybe there is a problem with the bios and that particular HD. Ya never know. Funnier things have happened. 😉
