*******STRANGE: AIM is now taking up lots of resources*********

I noticed that in my NetStat Live program, it tells me how much CPU resources i'm using, and when i open AIM, it goes to 100% then down to 30-40%, then again, so its a spiked graph. When I close AIM, it stays steady at below 20%. Anyone else nothicing this?

actually, its not really AIM, i closed AIM but my used resources is soaring at 75% steady and I'm not running anything major, no programs, just small ones, but they're small.
