Strange 7970 Problem

Ok, I just finished building my new water loop, and it includes
I5 2500k, Asrock Extreme 3 Gen3,7970 XFX BEDD with EK waterblock
I had the CPU under water in the same motherboard with the same 7970, The 7970 was on air before I added the waterblock and it worked flawlessly. I finished up my build and bled the loop. Turn on the system and get a Dr Debug 62 error. I read around on google and try pulling the GPU out of the PCI slot and booting on IGP. It works. I read into it a bit more, and go into the bios and select IGP as primary GPU instead of PCI Express. Put the 7970 back in the slot, and it boots just fine. I cant see the bios at startup, but everything else works. EXCEPT.. Now I have lost the ability to adjust voltage on my 7970 and its got me going nuts. This is why I built the loop, to overclock things. Does anyone have a suggestion to why it is doing this ? Maybe it errors due to no fan being plugged into the GPU?

First step is to update/re-install the driver and whatever voltage control program you're using.

Im more worried about why it wont post if I select pi-e as primary over the igpu. I will test in another system tonight.

If you haven't already, CMOS battery out, reset mobo BIOS. Load optimised defaults and go from there. I found the Asrock Extreme 3 Gen3 BIOS to be a little tempremental.

Can you flash it, I mean until you figure it out anyways?

I have my cards flashed to 850/2000, it's not like when you're on water you'd ever run stock again anyways 😀

I'd just flash it to the max voltage you were planning to run before then find your stable clocks and flash those in.

Edit: Also sometimes with fullcover blocks they touch places they shouldn't, you may have missed a washer/rubber or whatever EK is using now which could cause issues with your gpu. I would check the mount//re-mount it.

I dunno what the hell is going on with my computer. I did a full reinstall of windows. When I enable unofficial overclocking in afterburner, I see all zeros for selection in the sliders. I also cant move any of them. Any ideas?
