At my school, it is "WESTEST Week". Today, in the read and Language Arts section, the first story they gave us to read was about three, maybe four pages. I started reading and I thought it was a pretty interesting story, but as quite a few WESTEST stories are, I thought it was just a made up story. So, I wrote the URL on my hand and to my surprise, it actually happened!

Hahah.

I have to say, I have been looking for a decent hardware review site and Anand includes just about all of the information you need about the product with multiple pages about it sometimes just explaining the anatomy of said product or how it works. I believe I will start coming here regularly!

Wikipedia article (with no citation)

WESTEST was the West Virginia educational achievement test from May 2004 to May 2008. Its official name was the West Virginia Educational Standards Test. The Performance Levels were, from highest to lowest, Distinguished, Above Mastery, Mastery, Partial Mastery, and Novice. A student who achieved a score below Mastery in one or more subject areas was not required to repeat the grade. The WESTEST was administered to students in grades 3-8 in the subject areas of Math, Science, Social Studies, and Reading/Language Arts. The WESTEST was also administered to 10th grade students, but there was no Social Studies component. Some students took "mini" or practice tests in order to prepare for the official WESTEST in early May. These practice tests were reviewed by teachers. WESTEST will be replaced with the WESTEST 2 in 2009. Field tests for WESTEST 2 are currently being administered.

So Anand is in a West Virginia standardized exam? That's certainly one of the weirder things I've heard about in all my years here... :Q

Yes, I do realize that Linux is spelled correctly with a "U" I use "Mister LinOx" on some forums because one day I decided to be creative and change "ux" to correspond with the first two letter of my last name. "Ox"
