you dont understand. He knows the very geometric position his body should be in to avoid being shot in any given situtation! Also he cuts off a dudes face, how rad is that?

Aww commmon don't be so hard on the movie. Movies are about projecting what people want to happen, not the reality. Just accept that movies are not realisitic and enjoy the fake pwnage :)

It's available in HD-DVD... but you have to import it from Japan :( Oh, and Underworld was distributed by Screen Gems (Sony).... but due to the weird way the film rights are divied up, in France they released in on HD-DVD :D

It's a movie, it's entertaining. People need to stop engaging in intellectual snobbery and eat some damn popcorn.

yes yes, I know.

but on the other hand, I absolutely hate WWF, but it's practically the same thing and no different from Jet Li's really awesome action flicks: premeditated fight with a premeditated ending - good guy will always win and beat incredible odds.

Yeah, because every movie ending with the hero dying would be so much better...

exactly! it's based on statistics. you don't argue with science!

those kung fu movies are funnier. they tend to have a lot of man vs. mob fights. if you look carefully, most of the mob are just waving their weapons and moving around aimlessly.

IIRC it came out just after The Matrix.

Full-on Stormtrooper Effect, but they explain it away as "gun kata", a method and martial art where you place your body where bullets are statistically less likely to hit you.

Meh.. Who cares, it's a fun movie. :)

I had little use for this movie. I need a healthy dose of reality to enjoy fantasy, and it wasn't there. I guess the gun kata thing was an interesting idea, but when you're just standing in the middle of the room, it's hard to swallow.

I think the "one guy kills everybody" idea has been done much better, such as in The Replacement Killers. There's a shallow movie that I can somewhat enjoy.

Really the only scenes where I didn't like too much were that end hallway where you also get something similar to the One-at-a-time Attack Rule - many of the guards just stand there and wait until he gets close. Then there's the sword guards at the end who hold their scabbards but but not their swords allowing him to steal one...just seemed retarded to me.

One thing that was cool was how the inverse ninja law was broken when he slices the dudes face off. Good stuff, I was somewhat expecting something of a fight...

in fact, most rpgs are like that too. All of the minions are pretty easy, the "bosses" can be insane.

Well duh! Just common sense. Who goes to see an action movie where Arnold gets shot in the first scene?
