Storing Furniture - Climate Controlled or Not?

I am taking a job that puts me on the road pretty much all the time so I am putting some stuff in storage. I have a nice couch and a good mattress and some other random stuff. I am torn between climate control vs non-climate controlled. I am in MD, so we never get extreme cold, but we do get pretty hot and humid summers.

Just wondering if anyone here has put furniture in storage and what their experience was in terms of climate control.

It might be cheaper just to sell the stuff than store it unless you are emotionally attached or think you wont get a good deal. Ive never rented a storage space before.

Some of it has sentimental value and the other stuff is worth a good bit of money. To put stuff in storage for 6 months won't be more than ~$700 so it's worth it.

I'd go with the climate controlled as a safe bet. Especially if you have items of sentimental value.
