Ok, my first post as a newbee here 🙂

Can anyone give his opinion of Storage CeNTral (diskadvisor) from a user point of view.
I heard the salesmens word about it and I want to gather some more indepth information b4 buying the licences.

 
Storage CeNTral is some kind of a Quotamanager with active monitoring.
We want to use this product on our Data-servers used for User-homedrives. Untill now we gave them no limit on their homedrives. Which means for us adding a new expensive homeserver every 2 months now.

Apart from setting quota's on shares and homedrives this tool seems to have features like active monitoring.
We think about....
- sending alerts when someones homedrive is getting full.
- doing scans for unused files older then lets say 2 years
- doing scans for double files whitin a users homedrive
- doing scans for files we don't want...like mp3, mpg, avi
- and several more ...

It's a really heavy tool integrated into the core of NT. Not cheap as well 🙁
