Hi All,

I am facing a wired problem on my PC running Windows 2000 SP4.

When I stop the USB memory stick by double clicking on the system tray area and selecting to stop the device from the new dialog, my PC recycle.

I am able to use this USB from other machines with no problem, Can some one hints out whats is going wrong over here.

Its shows error dialog that device is unpluged, I just don't want to loose any thing just pluging it out.

Anything in Event Viewer? Do you see a blue screen? Try turning off restart after failure to read the blue screen: http://www.tweakxp.com/article36976.aspx

My guess is a bad driver is causing a blue screen, but it could be something else.
Have you tried other USB sticks?

Their is no blue screen, my PC restart without giving any notice. But worth giving a try by removing the USB Driver in use when the device is connected.
