Stopping runaway web sites...

How can I stop Internet Explorer from allowing the runaway site openings.

I've just had to reboot because a half a million sites opened and
would'nt let me close or stop them.

nah sometime when that happens to me I hit alt + f4 fast...until they are all gone..
 
sharkeeper... i clicked on your link not thinking, then i remembered what thread i was in and got out of it before anything loaded... phew... 🙂
 
Best way is to disable javascript. Go to security, click custom and disable active scripting (IE's Javascript). That outta do the trick.
