I watched this a few days back. All these people are fucking crazy.
I've seen quite a few friends talk about it. Sounds nuts and I'll have to watch it with the wife.
It is nuts, but the most nuts thing about the show is it does a total shit job of actually capturing how fucking nuts Joe Exotic (and the types of people that get into owning exotic animals like big cats) are. It makes it almost boring. Its like watching The Office, only there's actually legit crazy shit. Its almost like the total opposite of the Office really, as its like its intentionally trying to downlplay the awkwardness and insanity happening. The reality is waaaaaaaaay more nuts. He was doing lots of crazy shit that they didn't even delve into. And I have no idea why. But goes out its way to delve into the trucks of meat that Wal-Mart can't sell so supposedly donates to him, and even then it does it superficially (focuses more on the employees taking good packages of meat to eat themselves). It brushes over so much craziness to spend long periods of time bloviating about random shit, then glosses over so much else (like all the guys that Joe has married, and how a bunch of them are straight).
This article does a better job and takes less time to read than an single episode of this pretty shit documentary:

The Modern Barnum and His Equally Extraordinary Nemesis
Roadside zookeeper Joe Exotic took the tiger, and the lion, and the liger, by the tail and wouldn’t let go.nymag.com

So, you're saying, you loved it and it's a must watch?
😀
Kidding, thanks for the article though! Do I ruin the show by reading the article first, or watching the show first? HMMMM.....lol
Well the gonzo journalist guy should learn to backup
I'll tell you one thing though, this show has made it very clear to me that no one should be allowed to have a personal zoo.

Just wait till you get to what I’ll call the Travis episode...
The show starts out spiraling out of control. It continues accelerating out of control over all seven episodes.
