Does anyone know how to stop the users being able to change the workstation time under windows 2000. We have turned off the system clock but they are still able to change the time by right-clicking on the taskbar and selecting to change the workstation time.

cheers.

You might be able to use one of these utilities to sync your users' clocks to a central server on a regular basis. Maybe setting one of these to run at startup or shutdown will solve the problem for you...

Good luck!

As an administrator, go into the control panel, administrative tools, Local security policy (or whatever you use for your domain security...I don't have any experience with that). Click local policies (or domain or somthing, again, I don't have any experience with that), User Rights assignment.

There should be an option for "Change the System Time" If you double click on that, you can just remove all of the groups except administrator and then all of the regular users will be unable to change the system time.
