Stop MSN from loading

In MSN Messenger, go to Tools -> Options -> Preferences and uncheck 'load messenger when windows starts'
 
there is a registry key you have to change which will make MSN messenger show up in the add/remove windows components. You can uninstall it from there. Do a search on google and its pretty easy to find.
