I noticed that Google is now sending all its search results through its own redirect engine, which does not improve things, and in many cases has made Google useless for me.
As an example, I search for "anandtech". the first result points to www.anandtech.com, but if I right click on the link and copy the contents I get: http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...fMgKAP&usg=AFQjCNGh0rbs-4Hs3qhxgD_O4rSj-iSyaQ
I started noticing this a couple weeks ago when Google had issues and nearly every search went to an in-between page saying it could not redirect and just gave me a link to the result.
I notice it now because using the links from searches has become unbearably slow, taking seconds and sometimes minutes where I stare at a google.com/**** blank page. I did notice, that I can just copy the address after the "=" and paste it and go exactly where I want.
The behavior is consistent on any browser, IE, FF, chrome, safari and everywhere I go.
I don't know why Google is doing this, but it has become nearly completely unusable.
Is there anyway to get around this problem through a Google setting, or maybe some general add-on that simply automatically translates all redirected URLs to their final destination?

Edit, after the post I tested the links above. The tegular link took less than a second to load. The google link took nearly a minute to load.
