I just assembled a new system and installed windows xp. Everything seems to be functioning normaly except that I get a bluescreen stop error every single time I scroll on the Windows Update page. Has anyone else ever come accross this problem? I've reinstalled XP 4 times with varying onboard hardware configs. No love...

System Specs are as follows...

Athlon XP2100+
Asus A7V333 (default bios ver., haven't updated it yet)
1.5 GB Samsung PC2700 (Running @ 333)
Geforce4 Ti4600 128mb
Maxtor ATA133 160 GB Drive
Promise ATA133 Tx2000 RAID Controller
SB Live!
Netgear FA311 TX NIC
500watt 3-5a +5v standby PS

Sounds like it could be the ol' "Infinate Loop Error". Read about it, and solutions, here : http://www.viaarena.com/?PageID=64

It seems to be happening primarily on XP boxes with NVidia gfx and VIA chipsets, however it can happen (according to VIA) with other configurations. Good luck.

I dont think its the infinate loop error that you described. 80% of the time i get a bluscreen it list the error as "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" the other 20% of the time is a random error.
