Stop asking for my password!

How do I get that log-in screen to go away in Windows98? I thought if you didn't enter a password, you could bypass that screen. How do I make it stop asking me for a password?

Right-Click on "Network Neighborhood" --> Properties --> Select "Windows (Family) Logon" from Primary Network Logon --> Reboot.

Easier way:


go to start -> search -> files and folders.

type in *.pwl

right click on any results, and choose delete

reboot, when you log in, enter a name, but not a password, and hit enter (not cancel). Windows will remember the empty password from then on.
