What Service Pack are you running?

Did you try to do a REPAIR (Recovery Console)?
(boot with the XP CD and press 'R')

If the REPAIR does not work, uninstall the video drivers and
reboot into SAFE MODE to install them.

check the CPU temps as the CPU may be overheating and causing this problem, if so you might have to look into either making sure it is being cooled properly by checking the heatsink and making sure it is seated properly, or buy a new heatsink and fan .. it could also be you RAM giving out as well.

EDIT: try running memtest for a couple of passes also, and see if you are getting any errors, and if you do post them (what test did it fail on, and how many errors). if you RAM is the problem then a simple RMA or BIOS flash could solve the problem.

the file name i am getting most of the time is IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

That isn't actually a file name but is a descripption of a problem.....possible driver related

there may be a file name listed further down the page...

Here is a link to the microsoft knowledge base with what I believe is some info on your problem
