Stone landscaping

A few months back I got my landscaping in my backyard done. I basically picked out a dark grayish stone (color was called Silver Sesame in the catalog). After it was set, I noticed the color faded a few months after. Anyone know how to bring out a darker color with any sealing or other chemicals?

Firstly, you must find... another shrubbery! Then, when you have found the shrubbery, you must place it here beside this shrubbery, only slightly higher so you get the two-level effect with a little path running down the middle.

It's paved. Yeah, it's near some plants. I paved it with stone instead of concrete to get a nicer look...but color has faded already...
