Not really, I had off and on slight pains for about a week after getting over a cold. They weren't really a big deal just uncomfortable so I figured it was just the cold affecting my stomach now. Stomach felt fine when I had the sore throat/coughing/running & stuffy nose going on.

there have been reports of salmonella and E-Coli lately in the food supply.

http://www.foxnews.com/health/2012/...xpands-recall-mangoes-due-to-salmonella-risk/

The sad thing is that it doesn't get announced for weeks or even months till after reports from people like OP... then they tried to remove the infected food from the market but by that time most of them have been bought and consumed already... and people like OP are suffering from it...D:

Well, 4:00 AM and still can't sleep. 🙁

Stomach doesn't hurt as much currently, but there's still pain and now there's a feeling like I could vomit at any moment (I hate hate hateeeee vomiting) so it's keeping me from being able to just lay down and drift off to sleep. Blah x 100, it's gonna be a long day.

If you relax your abs and push on different parts of your abdomen, are there any tender spots/organs?

Lower left side feels a little more tender then the other areas I guess but not by much. Was able to make a doc appointment for today this morning so we'll see what he says, but I gotta wait until 5:15 to see him, was hoping to see him sooner because now if he wants to refer me somewhere else or needs me to go to Radiology they'll probably be closed for the day.

Lay down and see if you can move your legs up and down.....if not, you probably need to get your stomach appendix removed.

If you can move them....

Eat few pieces of bread, this usually helps me/soaks whatever crap is in your stomach. Have few pieces/don't drink and see if it helps.

I have a feeling you have Norwalk Virus. If it's the first time...you will feel horrible/like you want to die/get it over with. We have been going thru it just about every year past 10-15 years and are now communed to it (our bodies learned to fight it I guess).

Drink plenty of water> stay hydrated.

I could move my legs while lying down, there wasn't much pain when I tried. Had been drinking lots of water but avoiding solid foods like bread, so I'll try some with my soup later on.

Why is it that you're not seeing a doctor? I'd go into urgent care if it were me.

I am, he was closed on Labor Day and only has night hours today so I have to wait. This happened over the weekend while on vacation anyway so he would have been closed then as well. My only other choice would be ER and although it hurts and I feel like shit I don't think it was worth going.

I, for one, am hoping he has a speedy recovery.

get well soon.

:awe:

If you die I call waiver dibs on McCoy from your fantasy team!

Thanks! And speaking of McCoy I have drafts today and tomorrow, both live at different locations and both auctions, so hopefully I can get this taken care of or at least diagnosed quickly so it's not on my mind, messing with my concentration.

They gave me a anti-bacterial shot like 2 hours into my stay. The pain went away after 20 minutes of the shot. It was torture waiting for the shot though, I just laid in the bed squeezing the rails and kicking my feet to try to alleviate the pain.

A couple of weeks later the stone passed like a shooting star. Everyone said passing a 5mm stone was going to kill, but it didn't at all. The day of the ER was the worse pain I ever had.

EDIT: Correction, I had a kidney stone, not a gaul stone.

You were lucky, I had a 5cm stone.

They had to break it up with sound waves and run a tube up my penis and into the tube between the kidney and the bladder to allow it to pass and allow the kidney to drain (it was about to burst). I had a string hanging out of my penis for a week, I was quite upset when I found out the purpose of that string....

.

No soup, just try straight up bread. It will soak up whatever is in your stomach that might be making you sick.

This almost always works for my stomach pains.

Just eat few pieces of bread by itself and give it 5-10 min...

My doctor wasn't able to diagnose what the issue was even with all the information I gave him and after feeling around different areas of my stomach, so he told me to get a CAT scan.

I opted to go to ER right after I saw him but it was packed, lady said the wait would be many hours, so I ended up scheduling one for Friday which sucks because I'll probably have to wait over the weekend just to get results. He did rule out gallstones though, saying the pain wasn't high enough in my stomach for it to be them. He seemed to think it was a muscle strain but I told him I don't remember lifting or doing anything that would strain it, that might explain my constipation/pains when trying to go #2 though.

Thankfully it's not feeling as bad today and I was able to get a good night's sleep last night, so if it stays like this I think I can make it to Friday and just bare it out for the results. I really hate medicine, decided to take some Tylenol before bed to maybe ease the pain and it ended up giving me a fucking running nose and cough, WTF is up with that? NyQuil does the same thing to me, just makes shit worse.

Anyone here ever have a CAT scan done before? Not looking forward to drinking that liquid they gave me.

Are your #2's ok, other than the pain when going/can you go? Constipation can wreak havoc on the tummy.

#2 hasn't been "ok" for the last few days that the pains got bad. I usually go twice in a day when healthy, but I'm not eating much now so it's like I don't feel the need to go lately, so I don't know if the pains aren't actually preventing me from going since I don't feel there's anything there, but the pain is there when I've tried. It might be a muscle thing though because coughs/sneezes trigger the same pain.

Hopefully you provided him with the ATOT diagnosis so he had something to work with.

Aahhhh this is great! It feels like most of the pains are gone, no longer constipated, can actually move around without slouching forward to ease the pain. I think it's going away? Still going in for the CAT scan, but now I don't feel so bad about waiting for the results.

Americans have so many health problems. All I hear all day from my employees is "I'm dizzy, I can't poop, I feel sick, bleh bleh..." And they actually get days off every week. Here I am slaving away at work 7 days a week, 365 days a year (yes, even on public holidays), and I don't remember the last time I was so sick I can't go to work.

The thing is, we're given sick leave at my job. In 4 years I've accumulated over 300 hours of it, so I don't use it willy-nilly. I may be physically able to sit at my desk and do my job with stomach pains but the work would suffer, I may put other people at risk by spreading disease, etc.. so I'll use it and not think twice about it.
