Stolen A3 - WTF?

Audi Site on stolen A3

So I've only been able to gather that a 2006 Audi A3 was stolen in NYC. Whoopdedoo. My question is why is Audi advertising it on their web page w/the VIN # asking for info? It said this is apart of an internal investigation.
I don't follow Audi at all, are their 2006 models still "under wraps?"

I'm curious to know what this is about

My question is, why would the thieves pick this ugly POS car, when they probably had access to 100's of others in the same building. Why not steal the new Z06, or a new Ferrari or something. Even the new Sky. But this? That is the real question.

Its too bad the new European styling looks so horrible now. Audi's were pretty much my favorite looking of the German cars, and now their all about as ugly as the Aztec. That goes for BMW's new styling's as well. So very ugly.

I think you're failing to understnad that the car was never stolen in the first place.

I liked the 2 door A3's I saw in Europe this fall in Spain...I don't like the look of the 4 door from the sites above though.

And yes...seems like a pretty stupid marketing scheme.

I'm not about to think up conspiracy marketing designs, I could care less about that. Just wanted to express how ugly the new German styling's are.
