First a question about widgets
Do i need to keep the main app running for the widget to update or would killing the app with the task manager prevent the widget from updating

Any recommendations? Free if possible
Tried :
Google finance - wont let me add other indices other than the 3 default ones.
Stock quote - widget doesn't automatically update (killed the main app)
pFinance - currently trying this one out.
 
Google Finance. I prefer it because the widgets work great on my Droid phone...I just throw all my stock widgets on one desktop....when I'm curious, I thumb over to it.

It's nice too because I can setup my portfolio on a REAL computer using a web browser....then see it all from the Google Finance app.

Also, I have a sharebuilder account. Their new Android OS app is pretty good and lets me buy/sell easily with decent security. I initiated my past few trades from my phone.
