stock rating question

whhen a firm rates a stock as "overweight" what does this mean?

And maybe you should buy a nice S&P 500 index mutual fund instead, like Vanguard's VFINX? The index is at a temporary low point, so it's a great time to buy if you're investing long-term (years not weeks).

lol Dave, if I didn't know better, I would swear that you work for Vanguard.

And if I could only make $1,000 in earned income for the year I'd buy into it in my Roth IRA.

I do recommend them and VFINX in most every investment thread, don't I? 🙂

But no, I'm a software developer at Respondus, and just have a chunk of my investments in VFINX. 🙂
