How do I start to become knowledgeable about the stock market? I am in college right now and know little about how to make wise stock investment, or even investments in general. How can I learn?! thanks....

If you're in college, I'm sure there must be some kind of basic investments class you can take that doesn't require you to be a business major.

You have to give it a while, 5 minutes or 10 posts, whichever comes first. Serious answers do come. *

Yes, I took Finance 323 to try to understand stocks and stuff... College has lots of info

You can also try going to Credit Unions or Banks and ask for "free" consulting on investing.

What exactly are you interested in? For good general info I'd look at the sites posted above. I also reccomend picking up a few issues of Fortune magazine at the library, and take a look at the wall street journal.

1. Head over to B & N and pick up some basic books on investing.
2. Many investment broker sites have some good basic info.
3. if there's ever a traders exp in your area go to it.

The Wealthy Barber is good for just straight financial planning and basic investing, not necessarily the stock market...its a good start and an easy read

There are usually two kind of trader...fundamental and technical...which one fit you more?

There crapload of books on stock market and investing. You are in college and you don't know how to do research on a subject.....I feel bad for whoever paying for your education.
