I just setup an E6300 System and in the bios on the first boot it was idling around 50 degrees C w/ a Coolermaster Hyper L3 HSF, i havent used the stock HSF. Is this about average? I thought it might be a bit high

hmmm, I just read few reports of other people, they all have their cpu core around 50 degrees on load.
I quote: "my is 30c no load and 38c load with bios. With core temp is it is 44c idle and 51c load."

hopefully i'll get a E6300 by end of the month too :)

update: check again the greese term you put.. check you connected everything together right, and then the degrees should be decreased.

I reseated the HSF and im down to 38 C....that seems a bit better...still not 100% sure if that would be considered 'running hot' though
