are you overclocking?

if your not, the stock hsf will do perfectly fine. The chip runs very cool at stock settings. The moment you throw in overclocking, you got a completely different story.

..good to hear. I'm not overclocking.
 
I use the stock cooler on my E4300 and it gets to 2.7ghz where I get motherboard-limited. I don't think my temps are that bad.

..I think I'm going to stick wit the stock cooler when I get my e6600. I'll scrape off the thermal pad and put sum good cooler goo on instead. That should increase the heat x-fer to the sink.
