Stock AMD 2000+ xp or uprgade the fan

i have a coolmaster fan on the amd 2000 but it is so damn loud that it is pissin me off now. Will the stock fan be good enough? at the moment:
CPU: 41 degrees celcius
Chasis: 35 degrees celcius

if you have the money get a alpha pal8045 and you can put any 80mm fan you want on it... I've even seen some people put a 24cfm 21 dba panflo L1a on it! That's quiet as heck... but if you want extra cooling opt for a y.s. tech variable rpm fan that gets up to 48.5 cfms but 39 dba on the max. ofcourse its variable rpm (get the manual version) so you can put it down to 21 dba with 22 cfms

ok i will put the stock one on, this fan i pissin me off. You get used to it after a while, but it isnt worth it.

I'm in the same boat with my XP 1500+. I have a volcano 5 and it sure cools well, but it's too loud for me. The problem is, I have an OEM chip and not the retail HSF. I have another post on here asking the question "What model is the retail HSF of the Athlon XP's?" I still have not got this answer yet, and I want to know.

You guys might want to check out the 60MM to 80MM fan adapters at svcompucycle.com. I'm using one with a Goldengate HS and Sunon fan and getting good quiet results.

hey rimnet, ill trade you a sunon or a blue led (blinking or non blinking) 80mm fan for your coolmaster... =] these are pretty quiet
