November and December were crazy busy. I started a new job in a department of two and then very shortly after my boss needed to be placed on medical leave for a couple of months leaving me alone. I managed (quite well I think) but it was a lot of stress, work and extra hours. We hosted Thanksgiving and Christmas. There were hundreds of little jobs all over the place.

Then, almost two weeks ago it just stopped. My wife and I both had 2 weeks off for the holidays. Whipped up in our crazed frenzy my wife and I had cleaned up from Christmas by the evening of the 25th. We had no external commitments left.

Since then I have: cleaned up all the Christmas decorations inside and most of the ones outside
Finished several books
Finished a couple of TV seasons
Watched several movies
Finished as many house projects as budget would allow (fixing some drywall cracks and paiting the ceiling in the living room, rehabilitating our artificial christmas tree. Heck - I have the part purchase orders saved for the next two projects)
Played a lot of video games
Rebuilt the two HTPCs with spare parts from my PC upgrade
Cleaned and organized the house
Slept in almost every day
I even took an entire day and did nothing. I didn't even shower or leave the house

Now I am bored out of my friggen mind. My wife is visiting her family (for something to do). We have a big party on Saturday night to go to but no other plans :(

If this happens again next year I think we'll need to plan a major room renovation or something. I am almost looking forward to going back to work. I am now going to leave for Lowes - not because I need to buy anything but for something to do

Never done tile before but it would be nice to screw someone elses up before we tackle our bathroom remodel
