Stinky tofu

This girl I know that went to China recently came back with some stinky tofu. Weird stuff, you are supposed to deep fry them and eat them with soy sauce. She wanted me to try some, I said no thanks. Man those things smell bad, how could anyone actually eat those????

Try it... it smells bad, but that's because it's fermented. It really tastes like a fried tofu with a lot more flavor. Good stuff... you can buy stinky tofu that's less stinky too. I'm Taiwanese... that's a Taiwanese food more than a standard Chinese food.

I always go to Flushing, NY to get my stinky tofu and lots of other Taiwanese foods. 😀

I read an article somewhere once, about how tofu is presented as this really great healthy food...but it actuality, it's been linked to cancer. The study was done on women, something to do with soy produces the same stuff as estrogen....I will look for a link.

I can't even bring myself to eat it, same with durian. Theres just something odd about eating something that smells like vomit.............
