I still have yet to receive my check and my last two digits are '02' so I thought mine would be here before most. Has anyone else out there not received one yet? I am starting to think that it got lost..is there a way to get another one sent?

I bought a PS3 MGS4 bundle w/ your check. I cashed it at wal-mart free of charge.

What the hell?? It is saying that I was not eligible... I did file my taxes (back in early March I believe) and made no where near the amount where it starts to phase out. I should be receiving a check for $600.

heh, mines came sometime last week. I haven't deposited it yet. Is it one of those 180 day jobs? Maybe I'll get off my ass and deposit it sometime this week.

Maybe, I don't really think I should be claimed as a dependent. I thought that was something that ended when you turned 18.

do you still live at home or do your parents pay for your college? If so they may have claimed you as a dependent.

You might want to read this article about who can count as a dependent. I did not read the entire thing but you can definitely still be classified as a dependent past age 18:

I moved out a long time ago and I don't go to college so I shouldn't be a 'dependent'...This really sucks. I was looking forward to that money.

Maybe you should phone their help line and ask what the error was on either their end or your end.

How long was a long time ago? If you were still under your parents' umbrella during 2007 then there's where the money probably went. Have you spoken to your parents regarding this? I would be slightly peeved as well.

Can't. Their phone line never gets you to a live person. You have to go to the nearest office.

Same here.

The stimulus check money is not taxable. You don't have to pay any of it back.

Unless you meant you would have owed taxes next year anyway, and are just using your stimulus check to pay them.
