I think it's up to the Turtle, so maybe 50%.
The turtle is already back into, block everything, fuck Americans and blame it on the Democrats phase. He won't do a damn thing to help America recover if there is any chance Biden will get the credit.

For the remains of Trumps first term, do you actually expect to receive a second check?

Talk is cheap, and that is all this administration seems to be able to do.
A couple of thousand bucks is nothing. Giving it to people that are still working is world class stupid. Put the money where it needs to be, enhanced unemployment, payroll protection with severe penalty's for gaming the system, protecting people who's job keeps them exposed to the wuflu, and small business that has been forced to shut down.
This is save the nation 101. It's not that hard to figure out, it's just everyone want's to use the money to buy votes.

About 12 totally out of touch with reality wealthy Republicans Senators who never face any competition in their elections.
At this point republicans know trump is going to lose so there is no fucking way they will agree to anything other than corporate welfare for the next 4 years.

Republicans can tell us to eat cake. Odd they do not suspect a similar result as last time.

I doubt it. The house Dems loaded the last bill up with things that they know won't get passed, like allowing illegals to receive stimulus money. The R side finds reasons to drop talks about it for the most part, both sides are using it for election reasons at this point and it's unlikely that who ever wins will push a bill through either.

I put my vote at 21-41% though, this has been in the news so much that the pressure might make enough politicians work to make it happen but i still doubt it.

Well ramming through an extremist Supreme Court justice is far, far more important so as the Senate had to drop EVERYTHING else to focus on that. After the election (hopefully) the Turtle will be caring more about lining up a highly profitable post-Senate job so he could care less then. Or, in a worst case Senate result Mitch is re-elected and the GOP retains control over the Senate, hell will freeze over before any stimulus bill for the people is allowed to come up in the Senate.

If Trump loses the election all chances of economic relief prior to February are just gone. "Give me what I want or I'll shoot the hostage."

Or.... to further destroy and sabotage the economy that Joe Biden will inherit, republicans could pass an enormous last minute stimulus relief bill giving everyone huge massive stimulus. Only in hopes of not helping the American people but to hand Biden and the new Democratic controlled senate a shitload of economic misery. A massive federal debt which Democrats will be strapped with and republicans can then taunt Joe Biden for the inability to control. The republicans could pull this off then do as republicans always do, twisting their failures around and then blaming the Democrats.

Lobbying chatter I hear is picking up again for a fiscal COVID relief bill. Rumblings out of the hill press that they are getting closer but we'll see.

Last thing I heard, was that Mitch is stuck at 500 million, don't want money for testing, nothing for the city and state governments. i.e. nothing has changed.

He seemed to indicate recently that if a proposal was agreed upon by the House and WH that it would get a vote in the Senate.

In which case you need 13 GOP senators to vote in favor if the Ds are together. There are 10ish vulnerable this cycle who would likely provide votes especially if Trump backed it. Quite a few more Rs are up in 2022 that are watching their backs that might also be inclined. There is a possibility it could somewhat narrowly pass.

Anyway if you are Pelosi you most definitely want Mitch to be the one strangling this with national attention as Trump publicly browbeats him.

If I were a Democratic Party strategist, I'd be running ads in every state saying that if you elect Democrats, you'll be getting your $10,000 stimulus check around February 1st 2021.

Let the Republicans run counter-advertisements to that.

"Democrats want to give YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY to RAPISTS, DRUG DEALERS, and CHILD MOLESTERS!"

The Democratic Advertisement would say:

"Elect Democrats, and we'll make sure that all US Adults receive a stimulus check of $10,000 by February 1st 2021, because after all, it is YOUR money".

Again, let the Republicans run counter advertisements saying that the audience watching the Republican advertisement are rapists, drug dealers and child molesters.

This isn't rocket surgery.

So corporations should be liable for global pandemics?

Okay buddy....
To whom would you preemptively, and without any consideration for the facts, transfer liability? Because that is what Mitch wants: to absolve shareholders of any responsibility, regardless of specific corporate conduct, and stick someone else with the bill. The consequences of bad behavior aren’t magically going away because Mitch would let shareholders off the hook.

n0b0dy only knows that the people with all the money shouldn't have to ever be liable for how they made their money, because, well, that would be socialism or marxism or something.

Democrats should absolutely cut a deal with the WH then hang this around the GOP's neck for the next two weeks pointing it out at every opportunity.

The problem is that the Dems can’t negotiate with Mnuchin because he doesn’t want a deal that isn’t a straight forward handout to the folks he’ll be hired by after the election. Being Trump’s Treasury Secretary is just a stepping stone. Steve looks out for number one.

If the odds are it isn't going to pass in the Senate anyway does it matter? The Dems can whack Trump and Senate Republicans in the home stretch of the election with this rather effectively. "Look we've passed three bills and successfully negotiated with the WH but the Republicans are saying fuck you to the country" is not a bad place to argue from .

At this point Nancy should just say there have been too many starts & stops with Mnuchkin, time is being wasted. She will only directly negotiate with the President.

Trump can barely negotiate his way around a buffet table. He blows his stack every time he tried to negotiate with the Dems himself and got nothing.

Nancy would easily dominate those discussions. Easy to play the President but she would need to keep quiet about this if she wants big boy to show up
The President has a unique ability to get deplorable’s to follow what he does. If he says a 5 Trillion bailout nearly all will line up behind him. If Munchkin says a 1.8 Trillion deal they go ape shit over spending.
Finally publicly it looks good Nancy says “I am tired of delays, I want to talk with the boss about this” basically she becomes a Karen but the good side of Karen.

Just look back to the first Chuck & Nancy meeting. Day one they had a tentative immigration fix, tentative infrastructure bill and wall funding. Pretty good for a one or two hour meeting.
The President doesn’t like deplorable’s he wants to be like Chuck & Nancy. He just can’t admit that.
The President is used to Chuck and Nancy. He is from NY and worked in Hollywood. He is not used to Mitch and company. Appears he makes fun of southern accents regularly.

Despite what Trump says about a big deal Mitch will not approve. He see the writing on the wall and wants to screw things up as much as possible for Biden and the Dems
