Anybody ever used stilts for tasks normally requiring a ladder? Just had this idea the other day after frustrating myself running cable in my house. The drywall guys make use of stilts as an everyday indispensable tool, so why not anybody else?

Havent tried them yet but I can see them being handy. Apart from the learning curve this seems like it would be more productive way to work.

I used stilts once, good ones that had springs in the feet and let you sort of walk in them. Definite learning curve but after say a half hour it wasn't too scary, and after a few hours became fun.

I think it depends how much you'd use them for a single project and how many times in the future. For a single project no, but for multiple similar projects or for something seasonal / annual then yeah may be worth it.
