Today I'm going to hit the Blockbusters near work here in Schaumburg, IL.
 
Definite YMMV. 3 local stores, 2 were already totally cleaned out. The remaining store had a whole pile of blue-stickered stuff, but when I asked the teen cashier to check a price for me (first mistake), he said that the item was "on clearance" at the exact MSRP price printed on the item. Went back later that evening, and every single wireless controller was somehow "purchased" and the kid was gone.

Make them show you the screen to verify prices! :|
 
you know what you should do carnage

go back there and talk to the manager. ask him to see what the price was of that item and tell him that the kid quoted you different. you want to know why this could be effective? the us department of weights and measures audits places sometimes for price mistakes and can fine them big time. if you 'knew' that the price was supposed to be lower and had the kid check it out and then lie to you, you could easily tell the manager that if you were auditing he could have been in trouble and that it's also misleading the customer as well. i'm sure he could look at inventory and transactional records and find out the little invalid duped you and maybe can him for it.
 
Just went to my local BB (15237 -- North Pittsburgh) and they kinda looked at me funny like I made up this sale. Yeah..
 
I'm heading to another BB tomorrow morning to see what they have, I bet they are wiped out

How can we tell, other than going to every store, which Blockbusters in our area are GameRush stores?
